Three Beards Band

Drawing on Eastern European music and the dark traditions of East Anglian folklore, Three Beards are an eight piece band whose tight and chaotic compositions take you on a journey from the heights of the East European mountains to vast vistas of Norfolk’s beaches. The self labelled "Eastern-Anglian" ensemble play a mixture of instruments including double bass, mandolin, banjo, guitar, marching drum, accordion, the trumpet from The Muppets, Tuba, broom and saw to produce a unique sound with nods to computer games, balkan, klezmer and appalachian music.

Their live performances cackle with an energy reminiscent of solstice barn dances fuelled with home brew. Eclectic and DIY in their approach where costumed procession complete with sacrificial burnings, mystical characters and pyrotechnics are par for the Three Beard course.They shout, growl, warble lyrics in made up languages and fill any stage with a pulsating energy and an experience of soaring emotion with a wild punkish spirit.
